卒業制作展、無事終了しました。
足をお運びくださった皆様、ありがとうございました。
下に敷いた真っ白なシートは皆の足跡で茶色になり、床の模様が浮き出てました。
それでも、この作品は足を踏み入れがたく、触れても良いのか迷う人も多かったようです。何も書いてなかったからです。
でもそれで良いと思ってます。これはなんだ？って思うものを創ったつもりです。
この作品を見て考えて、
歯車が回って→絵が変わる→面白い、の単純な流れだけではない何かを、それぞれの予想する中で見つけ出してもらえれば幸いです。
人の動きや考えを展示で垣間みることができて良かったというのが今回の感想です。後日またお知らせしますが３月の有志展も楽しみに。
最後に、冊子に載せた文章を載せとく。
「私のグラフィック表現の変化過程を振り返ると、どうやら「動き」に対して興味があるらしい。
動き出しそうな絵に憧れ、画材や素材選びを楽しむところから始まり、
視覚の錯覚で本当に動いているように見える絵を創りだせることに驚き、
アニメーションや映像作品で本当に動く絵を創る楽しみを覚え、
プログラミングで動きに意志や偶然性を持たせることが出来るようになった。
そして、その偶然性を画面上ではなく実物で表現したいと思ったのが今作。
一つの円は軸を中心にして回転する。その円の集合体をカンバスとして絵を描く。動き始めることで絵が崩れ、そしてまた別の絵が形成される。
計算上では、この流れで何分の一の確率で絵が元に戻るはずだが、素材の耐久性と人力による差異によって確率通りのことは起こらない。
この自然発生から引き起こされるさまざまな現象はデジタルな画面上では再現できない。常に同じ形にはならないグラフィックを生み出す研究としてはいい結果となった。
しかし、完成した物はどうにも見えづらく、手間がかかる上に思った通りに動かない、絵に一貫性などまるで無い。まったくもってくだらないこの作品は一瞬ではじけて消えてなくなれば良いと思う。」
Graduation works exhibition finished at yesterday.
Thanks for coming over.
A white sheet which laid on the floor was changed to brown sheet by every visitor's footprints.
But a lot of people asked me "Can I walk on the sheet?" "Can I touch the works?"
Because I didn't write anything, for example "You can touch".
I think it is not wrong. I created things that need thinking.
I didn't create simple things. I hope if you looked my works, you think "What's this?".
I enjoyed the exhibition, and I could see how people think and move.
In conclusion, I show my writing on the leaflet for my work.
Seemingly, I'm interested in a "Motion" somehow,
if I look back upon the process of expression my graphics.
At first, I was impressed pictures it may move at any moment. I tried to consider various painting tools
and material.
Next, I marveled at an optical illusion looks really moving.
Later, I enjoyed to create really moving picture by the animation or the film and video.
At last, I learned to cause contingency to the motion.
And now, I try to express contingency not on digital but on real.
A gear turns on its axle.
I draw a picture on the canvas of the aggregate made by the gear.
If it moved, the picture will collapse, and another picture will be formed.
On calculation, the picture will return sometime.
But you can't calculate this probability by durability of material or human power control.
So,we can't reproduce a natural phenomenon like this on digital.
This work was a good study of a always changing graphics.
But the completed thing can't look clearly at all, it is very high maintenance and don't move just as I thought, and the picture hasn't consistency.
I completely hope that this trifling works bursts and vanishes in an instant .
